Salwa Aleryani Tribute to a passerby (ROAMER) - OPENING Saturday May 4th, 1-5 P.M.

Hints of peculiar entanglements between places and tenses: the image of a landscape inserted into a crystal, a piece of glass sits on a toy terrain, a watch plate reads (ROAMER), as a neck of a bottle stands nearby.

Salwa Aleryani’s play on scale is a way to observe reality from afar. Like passing through a landscape in a moving car, the static elements of her pieces make visible the artist’s negotiation with the fleeting nature of time. Her sculptural compositions take on a familiar materiality, arranged in poetic confrontation with history and its simultaneity of events.

Salwa Aleryani‘s Tribute to a passerby (ROAMER)exhibition will be her first solo presentation in Austria.
